Flexibility and Plasticity
The annealing process involves high-temperature calcination (approximately 1000 ° C) followed by slow cooling, effectively reducing material hardness, improving flexibility, and shaping ability. Compared to ordinary black iron wire, it has a higher elongation at break and can maintain over 85% shape stability after bending, making it suitable for repeated bending, weaving, or knotting.
Surface treatment and rust resistance
A layer of black oxide film (iron oxide, Fe2O3) is formed on the surface, providing limited rust protection. But the oxide film is relatively thin and prone to rusting in humid environments, so it is often used indoors or in short-term outdoor scenes. If long-term rust prevention is required, further coating with rust proof oil or blackening treatment can be used.

Wire diameter range: 0.17mm to 4.5mm (corresponding to wire sizes 5 # to 38 #), covering fine wires (such as 0.3mm for crafts) to thick wires (such as 4.0mm for building binding).

Raw material selection
Using Q195 low-carbon steel wire rod with impurity content below 0.15% to ensure material purity and processing performance.
Pulling and Forming
Gradually reduce the diameter of the wire rod through multiple drawing dies to form the desired wire diameter. Lubrication and cooling should be controlled during the drawing process to prevent wire breakage.
Annealing treatment
High temperature calcination: Maintain at around 1000 ° C for sufficient time to eliminate cold work hardening and refine grain structure.
Slow cooling: Cooling at a specific rate (such as 20-25 ° C/min) to stabilize physical dimensions and reduce deformation and crack tendency.
Oxidation layer control: Introduce water vapor or controllable oxygen to promote the formation of a uniform iron oxide film, with a thickness controlled between 5-20 μ m.Quality inspection
