Gabion Basket Specifications

Material: low carbon steel wire, stainless steel wire, iron wire.

Surface treatment: galfan, galvanized, PVC coated, galvanized plus PVC coated.

Mesh opening shape: hexagon.

Weaving method: normal twist (double twisted or triple twisted), reverse twist (double twisted).

Nominal thickness of PVC coating layer is 0.50 mm to 1.00 mm.

Galvanized is hot dipped galvanized. Thickness of galvanized layer can be manufactured according to customer's requirement, most can reach 300 g/m2.

The height of gabion mattress is 0.17 - 0.5 m.

Tensile strength of wire is above 380 Mpa. The weight of zinc layer is above 245 g/m2. Selvedge wire is cruder than the mesh wire. Lacing wire is thinner than the mesh wire, such as mesh wire is 3.0 mm, selvedge wire is 3.9 mm, lacing wire is 2.4 mm.

Length, width and height can be customized.

Features of Gabion

Compared with traditional galvanized gabion, galfan gabion has a good corrosion resistance.

Galfan plus PVC coating gabion is stronger and more durable than galfan gabion.

Zinc-aluminum alloy is called Galfan in foreign, zinc coating is high zinc plus aluminum. Aluminum content is 5-10%, zinc content is 90-95% in Galfan. The meaning of Galfan is "an extraordinary galvanized". Corrosion resistance of the products is about 2-3 times that of ordinary galvanized. Currently, Galfan galvanized wire mainly used in gabion basket.
